The SIGN EXPO 2011, the most important event of the signs and visual communication industries, became again a dynamic showcase for the new technologies and products for the market, something not seen since 2008 due to the difficult years in which the overall economy suffered a deep and extended crisis. It was undoubtedly a reflection of the fact that the elements and market signals that hampered the growth of industry are slowly but surely disappearing.
The ISA Show, which this year took place in the fabulous Las Vegas, counted with a large number of exhibitors and attendees surpassing by far the numbers of the 2009 and 2010 events.
DGS was part of this excitement presenting its DGS POP STORE, its unique design-print-cut turn key system to manufacture POP displays on demand, as well as its new range of products. It also took the opportunity to launch its new corporate image to the market. Within the “green” trend of the industry, DGS inaugurated a fresh and modern image, focusing in the sustainability and protection of the environment. In terms of hardware, DGS showcased a complete line of flat bed and roll to roll UV printers from Teckwin. Another important addition was its new DGS GENESYS Eco-Solvent high resolution printer using DGS Enviro-INKS, an odorless-low VOC’s eco-friendly ink.
In addition, DGS introduced for the first time its line “ROOTS” of eco-friendly materials. This new line includes rigid materials such as Falconboard (Pregis-USA), EnviroBoard (Converd-USA) and EcoBoard (USA). Within the flexible media, DGS showed Converd’s complete line of recyclable paper compatible with UV and Latex printers for backlit, banner and adhesive applications.
ISA 2011 was also the venue for the launch of DGS’ new series of digital flatbed cutters SAMURAI II. The new improved and technological advanced machine includes the new “Motion Plus” system which makes the SAMURAI II 20% faster than the previous model.
DGS demonstrate all the possible applications of its innovative business option by using all the new technology and materials in the construction of its own booth. Thanks to this creative and original design, DGS booth became in one of the most visited booths at the show.
